Deer Park Villa January Wedding | Fairfax Redwoods

Could a January wedding be warm enough for a couple and their guests? The answer is yes! Yes it was! Last weekend I had the immense pleasure of getting to photograph one of my DJ friend's daughters wedding at Deer Park Villa. Runaway DJ is the company that is a staple at Deer Park Villa, and David and his brother Jon have been running it for over a decade now with great success. David's daughter was the one getting married and Jon was the officiant. I've gotten to know them well over the years so it was quite an honor for David to recommend me to his daughter to photograph her wedding.


The day was filled with laughter and children running around the trees, throwing rocks, and even falling in the pond. (Just missed the shot...) So much fun capturing the kiddos exploring and having fun around the property while the adults did all of the boring stuff like getting married and what not.


The day started with a first look with dad, followed by a first look with the groom. Fun wedding party pics, especially some of the groomsmen with some NSFW poses. At the wedding ceremony the flower girl adorably left her basket at the end of the aisle. Reception tables with a blue streak through the middle was on point. My favorite color. Toasts, cake cutting, photo booth fun and then tearing up the dance floor. Such a fun crowd. Felt like family because I know the dad and uncle so well. Looking forward to doing it again in about a month with David's other daughter!
