Dreamy Rainy April Wedding at Deer Park Villa

Did anyone happen to notice the downpour of rain yesterday?! Well that was happening right when ceremony was going down at Deer Park Villa. It was pretty epic and the couple and guests rolled with it all in a good natured way.

Getting ready involved quite a bit of silliness and dancing. Umbrellas were handed out at ceremony. The maid of honor kept the rings safe, in her mouth of all places. That was a surprise to everyone. As soon as the ceremony was over everyone booked it for cocktail hour to get out of the rain, but not the couple. We went back out in it and got some fun stuff. I don't think in all my years of photographing weddings i've ever been in this heavy of rain, but it made for some great shots. A creek formed behind the ceremony site!

Back inside to dry the bride off. What a trooper. Great toasts, sweet first dance, cake cutting and then a fun game the couple came up with. They put the names of all of the guests in a container and picked two out who would sign the marriage license as witnesses. Cupcakes, cookies, a photo booth and then dancing the night away. Such a fun crowd and couple. I had a blast!
