Fairfax California Engagement Session

What fun to do an engagement shoot in my home town! I never thought of doing a shoot here until this out of town couple inquired about it. They were getting married at Deer Park Villa as well, so they figured it would work well to capture the whole feel of the area between the engagement shoot and the wedding. Makes sense to me!

I told the couple that I would probably know quite a few people as we walked around, and low and behold my neighbor appeared within 5 minutes of the shoot along with a couple of my kids friends cruising the streets on mountain bikes. We started with some drinks from The Coffee Roastery and then walked down Broadway, stopping for a few shots in front of Fradelizios and Peri's and My Thai. We checked out the cocktail menu at Mac's, (The Solar Flare is delicious!), and had to get a few shots in front of the Fairfax Theater.

We looped around and went back down Bolinas where we ended up at the Farmer's Market where I probably knew half of the town. We had to get strawberries and get out of there quick before I chatted too long. We ended at Peri Park with the redwoods and the creek, where I have been to countless birthday parties.

It was SO much fun and I hope to do many more engagement shoots in Fairfax. It feels especially fitting for all of the couples getting married at Deer Park Villa.
